Definitely an eared grebe....we were able to stay mostly hidden in the trees and he came within 15 feet of the shore, on the south side of the park. We were able to watch him for about 10 minutes before some buffleheads bothered him and he flew away, heading further south. I knew it was an exciting find but didn’t realize they were that rare up this way. Replies: There have been no replies.
