An osprey was perched on the nest at the Mitchell Lake causeway at CKL 48, and a flotilla of at least 80 common mergansers swam just to the south, along with a few hoodies. A song sparrow has been hanging around our Victoria Road yard for a couple of days. Along with the noisy gang of red-winged blackbirds and grackles, these are enouraging signs of spring despite the snow flurries! Replies: There have been no replies.
