. CHARITABLE ADVERTISING on Web Site
There are many worthwhile charitable causes in existence, but we can only accept sponsorship or fundraising efforts on Fusilier Association websites, that specifically support approved Fusilier charities.
This essentially means that it is acceptable to use these pages to seek sponsorship for The Fusiliers Aid Society (which includes Fallen Fusiliers), and The Fusilier Memorial fund only.
We now have our own dedicated justgiving site (http://www.justgiving.com/fusiliersaidsociety), which you can use to help raise money for your cause. If you let RHQ (Asst Regt Sec) know the specific cause you are raising money for, it will be directed to the correct fund.
Messages soliciting sponsorship for causes or charities other than the Fusilier ones mentioned above should not be placed on the message board and may be removed by the Webmaster.

HOW WE FACED THE RUSSIAN BEAR
60s TO THE 80s IN BAOR
10 -14 SEPTEMBER 2018
On the 50th anniversary of the Regiment, Regimental Headquarters is arranging a battlefield tour with a difference. The tour will be based in Hildesheim, Germany, and will explore the sites and positions that the RRF battalions and their antecedent Regiments would have manned during the Cold War. It is primarily aimed at those Fusiliers who served in BAOR during the Cold War years.
The cost is £310 per person sharing a double/twin room or £510 single supplement. This will include two nights bed and breakfast in the hotel in Hildesheim and one night bed and breakfast in the hotel in Arras. A packed lunch will be provided for four days and dinner in the hotel in Arras is included.
Itinerary
Monday 10th September. Depart Balham Army Reserve Centre at 0900 hrs. Those attending should note that the journey to Hildesheim is a long one and we expect to arrive at the hotel shortly before midnight.
Tuesday 11th September. Tour of Hanover Plain, main GDP (General Deployment Positions), known as The Pin Table, including canal crossing points. Visit rear areas including the water sandwich, water triangle and the covering force reconstitution area. Combat bridging at Schloss Marienburg. Team photograph and the return to hotel for free evening.
Wednesday 12th September. Visit the gaps including Lichtenburg, Bockenheim Bowl, Sibbesse and Springe gaps. The counter attack at Pattinson. Leiene river crossing and then return to hotel for free evening.
Thursday 13th September. Depart Hildesheim to travel to Arras in order to break up the homeward journey and allow arrival in Balham late afternoon on 14th September. Dinner arranged in the hotel that night.
Friday 14th September. Depart hotel in Arras at 1000 hrs and expect arrival at Balham 1700 hrs.
