Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

i will take away your pain-- *

the coffin is moving
The man in black, despite his years, was still a monster. He’d stopped at nothing to regain the blue roan that Asp had successfully stolen away--going so far as to steal her back as soon as her foal dropped. Umbreon hadn’t cared that his last son would be stuck with the red dun stallion that had one-upped him (the first to do so in years)--or maybe he had. Maybe that was why he had not come for his son; it was a chance for the colt to learn from someone else.

After all, the man in black was old. He likely hadn’t many years left, despite the vigor that still ran through his bloodstream.

And Asp hated him for it.

As soon as he had stolen the blue roan, things had rapidly gone downhill. He had lost Dragonmaw to Umbreon, and then Umbreon had taken back what was rightfully his, and Asp had lost and lost and lost until finally he had nowhere left to go but down the mountainside and across the ocean. Back to the place where he knew the man in black would not follow; where his reach ended (little did the red dun know that his daughter was here, his favorite girlchild.)

It was hard to remind himself that it wasn’t the colt’s fault, but Asp found himself temperamental around the boy regardless. He’d never said his name, often belittled him, and didn’t enjoy the time spent with him. As such, when the colt had wandered off into the depths of the Lagoon, Asp was overjoyed.

But he soon felt guilty, and with a gnashing of frustrated teeth and a flick of an irritated tail, he set off at a trot that carried him swiftly back to the colt. He kept his ears flicked back as he approached the colt. Wordlessly, Asp let out a grunt and sniffed at the colt in greeting, resisting the urge to snap at him.
