A smile was quick to come, all too pleased at Persephone’s words. Blue eyes bright, Mariael nodded in agreement. “If the tables turn and he proves to be a problem, you’ll be the first to hear.” It felt good to have someone in her corner like Persephone. A true friend. No one Mariael needed to worry over and someone competent enough she proved her strength as a leader.
Maybe she would be more proactive at going to see her when Tinuvel’s waters melted after winter. It depended on whatever mind Warsaw was of, she supposed.
“Let me walk you back to the Inlet,” Mariael said. Not that Persephone needed the company or escort but should they cross paths with Warsaw on the return it’d prove a decent opportunity for Mariael to inform him the residents of Luthien should be off-limits. They’d proven themselves worthy and until that time, Tinuvel held no quarrel with them.
Together the mares - queens - would walk back to the Inlet, which Persephone would be leaving soon. Mariael would make certain Persephone understood should any trouble come to her during her stay, an ally willing to leap into action was just a short distance away.
