Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

You could call Kovah a lot of things, however, boring was not one of them. Inside her crystal eyes there was a hunger for adventure, a thirst for something that even she couldn’t name. Currently, she found her captor rather intriguing, especially the few words he’d managed since driving her to this marshland. If he didn’t care, which apparently he did, he wouldn’t have brought her here? The golden mare snorted, the breath hanging in the air like smoke from a dragon. His movement toward her gave her the permission she sought to invade his space, allowing him to exchange scents with her. Crown cocked sideways and ears tipped forward she couldn’t quite understand why he darted away. So, she did was she always did when she didn’t understand, she laughed. It spilled from her maw like lava from an erupting volcano, filling in all the silent spaces between them and wrapping itself around her.

Cautious at first, she took a pace toward him. Ah hell with it, she figured, taking another few bounds and gently flicking her tail against his haunches. ”You’re a bit jumpy aren’t you?” More and observation than a question, Koko’s lips curved upward into something resembling a smile. ”well perhaps we can help each other. I always find it harder to get stuck in a rut when I’ve got someone else around to keep things exciting.” Of course, Kovah easily grew bored of most company she found. Mahlah was the exception, perhaps she had been too much. So why do you miss her? Shaking her boa sent snowflakes into a frenzied dance around her face, the whole point of coming here was to forget Mahlah. Let go. She told herself sternly, instead fixing her gaze back on Asp.

”So what is this place?” Auds flickered to and fro, listening for the sounds that usually accompanied a herd, only, they found nothing. Perhaps it was the snowstorm. Or maybe he’d just begun his reign. It didn’t matter so much, but knowing what she was getting herself into couldn’t hurt, right? Sliding in a circle around the brute, her cream mane tickled his skin. Goodness she’d missed being so near another!
