Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

Note: Susil Crags will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

Return to Lunar Children

So comes snow after fire, and even dragons meet their end;

Navarre has never been one to put much faith in what he cannot see. Fates... gods... monsters... they were all fictional as far as he was concerned. As a pup, his elders and teachers had tried to teach him the importance of giving thanks and speaking to the ones that guided him from above. However, Navarre found it hard to comprehend. It was not the spirits who put food before him, it was his parents and the rest of the pack hunters. When he fell off a ledge and broke his leg, it had been the pack healer who tended to his wounds and through skillful paws, managed to set the broken bones so that they healed perfectly. It was the healer and a pup's own will to survive that prevented them from dying from sickness.

Even as an adult, Navarre could not devote himself to the faith in that way. However, when he had left Leilani... he found himself praying to those gods and fates he never cared for. He prayed for her to stay safe... prayed that he made the right decision to return home without her even though his soul screamed denial. It was hard for him then, but he knew she was safer here. At least in Moladion he could find her, just as he had done. He knew deep down that it had been the right decision, but still it had brought forth the need to pray and beg the fates to keep her safe. Since meeting Leilani, he learned then what it meant to have faith in the unseen. He knew exactly then what his grandfather had preached about his entire life. Leilani was the other half of his soul that he did not know had been missing.

In this moment he took a leap when he asked her to become his mate. He knew she could say no. She probably should say no. He did leave her without a word the wiser after all. None the less he could not help himself... could not stop the words of his heart that pour out so freely. Before he met her, there had been Zarah. She had been his companion from the moment he arrived in Moladion and together they ventured through the different pack lands and explored the world that he was a stranger to. Her family called the pack Diveen home, and he did his best to make her happy, offered to join Diveen to be near his friend. He knew she had feelings for him, could see them in her eyes as clearly as if she had spoken them aloud. Perhaps had the fates not intervened... he would have found himself still in Diveen now. Perhaps even become Zarah's mate.... but that was not in the gods plan... and as much as he cared for the red and white wolf, he was thankful.

Finding Leilani had been happen chance. He had not been searching for his imprint... and yet like the rest of the gods plan, it simply fell at his paws. Unlike with Zarah, the connection with Leilani was instant. He felt the pull towards her and the sudden need to protect her and keep her safe and close just at the very sight of her. Her soul called to his own and he did not dare ignore it. Could not ignore it. Leilani.

Despite himself, he finds that he is holding his breath as he waits for her response. For perhaps the first time in his life, he pours his heart out to her, speaks the words that lay written on his heart. Leilani. His bond... his mate. Her words are his release and as she presses herself tightly against his chest he cannot help but to sigh in relief. Long black tail thumps excitedly against the granite boulders. She said yes. He leans into her now, savoring the feel of her warm body against his own. "Leilani..." he breathes, nuzzling her charcoal muzzle happily. She was his as he was hers.

For a time he holds her close, savoring the blissful moment together beneath the moon's silver blue light. Dawn was not far away now, already the eastern sky begins to lighten in preparation for the new day coming. A new day that they would face together. He draws back from her now, letting glittering yellow gold eyes examining his beautiful mate closely. "Are you hungry my love? Where shall we go today? Do you want to find a pack to join?" he questions, his words pouring out far to quickly for his taste but none the less he cannot stop them. He worries for her, worries that she is not happy, worries that she is not being taken care of like she deserved to be. It would change. He would see to her happiness.
