GUIDELINES

- the Prairie stands as a symbol of peace and prosperity among the islands
- anyone is welcome to live here so long as they do not bring harm to the Prairie or any of it's residents
- adventure and exploration is not only allowed, but encouraged! residents are asked to use their better judgement and not travel to places that could bring them harm
- the head of the prairie has final say in all prairie matters. the secondary and third positions are not able to be challenged for and are selected by the head
- the guardians take on a more active role in the prairie; they must protect the inhabitants of the prairie and go on patrols of the prairie borderlines and shore. they can welcome strangers to the prairie and invite anyone to live here, though they must inform one of the leaders of any newcomers or visitors
Never let me go

This was not how this meeting was supposed to play out, but I guess life had a funny way of accomplishing things. Emeralds find him with the help of his voice and now that she felt more comfortable, she smiles. That smile fades as she sees his anxious prancing and pacing. She didn't understand why he was displaying such emotions. Worry grew, but finally he braced the sea towards her.

He stops gaining distance and his voice is carried to her by a strong gust of wind. Her soft smile returns to her pale lips and she nods her head. She is just fine now. Small ears perk up as he speaks again after a short time and apologizes. Her head tosses back and forth to say there was no need for an apology. After all, it was her who was acting strangly.

He begins again, saying he hasn't been himself lately. "Nor have I.." She says softly, but she was unsure if her words were spoken for him or just for herself. His words continued to say something quite shocking. Her mouth hung open and her eyes almost instantly grew wet with tears. "I cant imagine the pain your feeling right now." Her legs carried her closer until her wet nose reached out to gently touch his shoulder.

Sanibel has been lucky to not lose many loved ones, but some had disappeared from her life in the past. Were they dead? That answer she didn't know, but she assumed her sire was joined with her dam by now. Her mother was her greatest loss and she dreaded the day she lost her sister. "I'm sorry as well." She speaks gently as she pulla away to give him some space. "I suddenly felt overwhelmed and needed the sea to cool off. I am fine now so let's journey back ashore." Green eyes locked to his eyes and she struggled to keep herself together for him. This wasn't her pain, but somehow she felt emotionally connected.
