Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

When she grinned, his whole face lit up. He liked seeing her happy, especially knowing he made her happy. But then she told him he was too young for the trick. He couldn’t stop himself from pouting, poking out his bottom lip a little as his tail flicked behind him. He was about to whine a little when she said he didn’t want to be in too young of a form and he gasped, looking down at himself. He scrunched up his face thoughtfully before he looked back at her. “You’re right! I need to get bigger first! But then you’ll teach me, right? Promise?” He shifted his weight in excitement, watching her with big hopeful eyes.

At least she seemed confident that he was going to be good at everything. He beamed up at her. But then she said he didn’t always have to be nice and he tilted his head, listening. He nodded at the end. He could understand where sometimes the truth was hurtful, like when his mother asked if she was pretty in the morning when her fur was all matted and dirty and her eyes were red from not enough sleep. Since his parents had taught him at an early age never to lie, he thought he was supposed to tell her how ugly she looked but she always seemed a little upset afterwards and his father had told him it was okay to tell a little lie sometimes. He didn’t understand it at the time but it made sense. So lie to keep someone happy. He could do that. He wanted others to be happy after all. As if she was reading his mind, Mat mentioned that he would need to get good at his wording for diplomacy and said his father had told her he wasn’t good. His eyes widened. She had talked to Thor? He eyed her suspiciously at first. “You talked to my dad about me? What else did you talk about?” He wasn’t mad, more curious of what they had said about him but he knew his dad could be as embarrassing as his aunt Samia sometimes so he was wary of what he might have said around Mat.

He shrugged. “I’ll work on my wording. Can you help me with that, Mat? I bet you’re good at it.” He looked up at her again with hopefully eyes, sure that buttering her up will get him what he wants which is to spend more time with her and learn from her. When she questioned him about the girl from the water, he racked his brain before gasping. “Oh yeah, her name was Eira. She’s Edens daughter!” He was excited that he had finally remembered. He knew he had to get better at this like Mat said. He wanted to make her proud. He nodded. “Yeah, I’m making friends. I met a girl named Dandelion in the grotto and she showed me the caves. I’m going to explore the open lands a little more and meet more wolves!” He felt like he needed to report his progress to her, not cause he had to, but cause he wanted her to be proud of him.
