Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

He made his way down to the water's edge, searching the shallows for a certain leafy plant that only grew underwater. Apparently it was a much needed herb for Inanna's inventory. He didn't have anything better to do so he figured he could help her out by hunting down some herbs for her. He hadn't seen his sister Samia in a little while but he knew she was busy being the top healer in Glorall. There were probably one or two pregnant wolves in the pack that she needed to be checking on. He just missed having company once in a while. Sure, he had Inanna and his son Triton when he was around but Triton was growing up and he was venturing out more and more, making friends both in the pack and out. Thor heard he had approached Eden for a position as a diplomat so Eden gave him some missions to do. He wondered how those were coming but Triton didn't talk to him as much as he used to.

He was getting older and with it, more secretive. Thor knew that came with aging boys but he didn't have to like it. Triton talked about his friend Mat a lot more too when he did talk. If Thor didn't know any better, he'd say his son had a crush. She was pretty, he'd have to give him there, but she was older and Thor was sure she already had an admirer or two closer to her own age. Would Triton's heart really be broken so early in life? Thor knew it was only a matter of time and he knew his son needed to experience these things just like everyone else but he still hated to see it coming. He sighed, trying to push the thoughts from his mind as he focused again on his task. Ah yes, the leafy things. He saw something leafy and started pawing at it but it made an unpleasant sound and burrowed deeper in the sand. Ah, not a plant then.

He moved to a new spot, looking again, his nose just inches from the water as he tried to look beneath the ripples. He saw a few cool looking shells and thought about collecting a few of those two to bring back to Inanna. Even as a pup, she liked to collect certain things and stash them. It's how they bonded after all. He liked to take from her collection then he'd bring it back to her like it was a gift or something. She always figured it out but she never really seemed mad about it. In fact, she told him he could keep the feather he still had braided in his own fur, one of the trinkets from her collection. He brought his nose around to the feather and smiled, just thinking about it. He wondered if Eden would be approaching him soon, letting him know what he needed from him to get a rank in the pack. Thor knew he was ready for something, anything. He just wanted a purpose. But he had to be patient. Eden would let him know when he was ready.
