Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

He was a little surprised to hear his father's call, but it wasn't like he was doing much. He had been enjoying Mat's company more often than not but he wished he could see more of her. His talk with Aeon was going well but he needed to get closer to the boy, to show he could trust him before he told him whose perfume clung to his coat most of the time. It wasn't a pack wolf. He knew that much. She smelled like she didn't have a pack. Could be a friend or even something more. Had Aeon found his imprint? But a lot of work had to be done in the friendship department before he could be sure. He hadn't even found Adonai yet. Where was she hiding? He needed to double his efforts. But in the meantime, he could take a break and see what his dad was up to. He didn't usually call unless it was something important. Triton made haste to him, taking long strides with his lanky awkward legs. He was turning two soon but he was still in his awkward teen phase. He had a lot of growing to do.

When he saw not one but two figures up ahead, his ears went forward in curiosity. He could make out the familiar form of his father Thor but who was that with him? As he got closer, he could see that it was a she. She didn't smell of Glorall either but rather of the forest pack, Taviora. A visitor? Maybe this was part of his training for diplomat! He could meet someone from another pack and make relations better between them and Glorall. His tail started wagging as he got closer, his lips already tugging into a friendly smile as he took in the female. She seemed friendly enough. She also seemed to be rather comfortable with Thor. He saw the way they bumped each other with their shoulders and noses. It was easy to see the female trusted Thor and he trusted her. So who was she? He'd never met her before. Did his mother know about her? Suspicions grew. As he stopped before them, he glanced from one to the other. Then he remembered his manners.

"Hi, I'm Triton." He offered the female before turning his gaze to Thor. "Hey, dad. You called?" He raised a brow expectantly, ears swiveling between the two wolves. Then Thor told him that she was important to him. His eyes begged the question "how so?" Thor brought up imprints and Triton nodded. He hadn't met his yet but both Thor and Inanna had explained to him how imprints work and how special they are. He knew his parents had met theirs but they didn't really talk about them. They knew they were out in the world and safe but in the end, both had chosen to follow their hearts and that's how his parents ended up together. They had challenged Fate together and won. He looked at the female with new intrigue right before Thor said the words. Her name was Talien and she was Thor's imprint. His eyes went wide, glancing from her to Thor and back. He swallowed. "So.....she's your friend, right?" His solid gaze seemed to add more: ...and nothing more. He wouldn't say it out loud. He knew his parents loved each other. He saw it every time they were together.

But since he didn't have an imprint, he didn't really understand what it felt like. Could you defy your imprint's connection to become more than friends and continue to only be friends? Thor said she was important. Did that make her like a sister to him or something else? He didn't get it. What exactly was an imprint?
