Short answer: not a bad unit
Are you going as a trainee or Consultant?
I worked there many years ago as a trainee and overall I had a good experience, although I didn't like the town which is very dull and nothing much to do in your spare time, on the other hand it is close to M5 and Bristol.
Consultant-wise there were a couple of odd characters, but I heard the unit has changed a lot and they have recruited 4-5 young enthusiastic consultants after some of the old ones retiring.
