Doug Hayward ex 36SQN C-130H Pilot
IP: 110.23.46.188

I have just received information from a contact at HARS that Doug Hayward has been involved in an aircraft crash in Pretoria, Sth Africa.

Doug had been invited to ferry a Convair 240 from Wonderboom to the Netherlands and was conducting a test flight with maintenance people on board.

Video of the takeoff can be seen at https://m.news24.com/Video/SouthAfrica/News/watch-eyewitness-footage-shows-smoke-coming-from-wonderboom-plane-before-crash-20180710

Doug is in an induced coma at this time.

We can only hope one of our Herc fraternity recovers to fly again.
