Kajika
Kajika measured the distance. There was no reason for him not to be able to make the jump. If he could make this one, it wouldn't be difficult for him to track prey from the trees now and again depending on what he was hunting. The brindle and white boy took a breath. It was now or never.
His tattered ear twitched slightly, noting the sound of movement in the grass. The young wolf had an audience now. He did not pause though. His muscles tensed as he leaped forward with as much precision as was possible for a creature who could not quite grip onto branches as a predatory feline. His jump was successful, relatively speaking. The branch had been wide enough for him to put his small paws on easily. It was the give of the tree that surprised him. He had felt it before when walking across them, but it bowed a great deal more under his light weight from the jump.
His cerulean eyes were wide for a moment at the sound of the creaking branch. Thankfully it did not give and he darted quickly towards the tree. It was then that he took a second to look to his unexpected audience. It was the Pharaoh. He tilted his head, wondering if she might have been looking for him, or perhaps it was a happy accident of pack life to come across one another as they moved about the lands. Still, he was glad to see her.
Kajika jumped down from his perch with a small ompf as his paws touched the earth. His tailed waved as he trotted towards her. "I think I figured out why the big cats like stalking from the trees," he said. It was a rather absent thought, but after Cuirass had shown him tree climbing, the young wolf could not deny further curiosities. Hunting from above brought forth a new perspective, though he wondering if such a thing intrigued Sekhmet given that she was a woman of few words. Plus, the nameless behemoth was very feline-like in some of her own actions, so perhaps it would.
