When in college in the mid-late 60's, we all discovered McKuen because of Glenn Yarbrough's Stanyan Street & Other Sorrows LP.....from then on, we loved his music. As for the comment about Sinatra singing Cole Porter, everyone who is anyone sings Cole Porter. But not everyone sang McKuen....Sinatra had impeccable taste...and he chose to sing some of Rod's music. That says it all.
