The lens will generally not drop as there will be lots of pressure from behind. Any PC rent in such a situation will generally want to open up from the posterior pressure and it will extend out. Try to put healon in and make a circular posterior CCC. The oil will obviously start to enter the AC and out through your wound. Take the oil out through the wound if you were intending on removing it.
Try to avoid putting a silicone lens in. If you can't place a lens because of insufficient capsular support place an AC IOL or suture one or sclerally fix one in situ. If you cannot take the oil out for whatever reason then leave them aphakic and do an inferior iridectomy and send them back to VR.
