Persephone gave a small nod of her head at Shamwari’s comment about her and Mariael. The pair of leaders had been through a few tense situations since the beginning of their relationship, and so Shamwari’s kind words warmed her heart and reassured her that she had a friend she could trust in him. “Your support means a lot to me,” she replied, her tone warm with honesty. They had come a long way, and they had much more to come. Persephone listened carefully to the information Shamwari imparted. Although the threat of Psychedelic had lessened, she could not be sure that it was erased so long as there was a chance he might still be prowling the islands. This Cullen, too, sounded like trouble, and if they were to get together she was sure the results would only be disastrous. “I couldn’t agree more,” she replied with another nod, returning her attention from her thoughts back to her companion. “I don’t like to think what might happen if these unsavoury characters manage to connect with each other. Let us keep our eyes and ears open, and each other up to date of course.” |
