I was given the option of either a non operating post without on calls or an operating middle grade post with on calls. I love surgery, so I chose the latter! 6 months were fine, then I had a rent in a pseudo exfoliating syndrome! All hell broke lose! I had to explain 3 times to three different people, wrote a reflective writing and heard several times why middle grades should not be operating! Now they have stopped my list (covering casualty at that theatre session), but the on calls continue just as before! I protested to no avail! I suspect this was their plan right from the beginning and I just fell for it! I am leaving in 3 months!
