 And the cold lonely air. On the rock restless seas. After only a few mouthfuls, the blades of grass begin to quickly fill the paint stallion's stomach. He ate so little these days, stopping to graze when needed, but only ingesting little amounts at a time. His guts churn with lethargy and he winces slightly as he feels them kick in to work. The stallion breathes a heavy sigh, the sides of his barrel rising and falling in one, collective huff as he watches No. He is happy for the company and the hospitality, of course. But he is still unsure of how to read the stocky Cob stallion. He was friendly enough, in that he tolerated Ruxin's presence and was allowing him to linger here. But beyond that, No seemed not to care much about Ruxin nor his plans to leave, to stay, to whatever. Perhaps this was the arrangement Ruxin needed right now. It certainly was better than limping along all alone. But No didn't appear to be the type to pry or pester. Ruxin,it seemed, would be left to his own devices. His thoughts returned to Roarke, the gangly, but large young stallion he'd met briefly in the Ridge. Despite their obvious and glaring physical differences, it seemed the two stallions had quite a bit in common. They had both claimed territories on what was otherwise a desolate island. They were both welcoming enough to Ruxin. "He could be helpful to you, one day." Ruxin says somewhat absentmindedly, trying to conjure up a good reason for the two to meet, other than knowing that they each exist at opposite ends of this lonely place.
