It had been some time since Ernesto had strolled along with a pretty young woman at his side, and it revitalised him somewhat. Perhaps he really had been hidden away for too long, skulking in the shadows when there were fine friends like this to find outside of the Lagoon.

Ernesto’s lips curled into that same grin she was waiting for as he listened to her words. Running amuck sounded like fine fun, and something he had done for many years in his time before coming to the Lost Islands. As for the rest of her comments, they were even more pleasing to the ears and the smile on his lips grew a little wider.

“Oh really?” he replied, tilting his head in that playful way of his. “You’ll have to introduce me sometime.”

A small chuckled escaped his lips before he continued.

“Running amuck sounds like fun though, I hope I get to see that sometime.”

They emerged then from the close, heavy shadows of the foliage and out into the open space that ringed the edge of the Lagoon. Ernesto paused a moment, taking a deep breath of the fresh air, then turned to glance at his companion, waiting for her reaction. He hoped she would find the open space satisfactory. The still, turquoise water twinkled in the light.

“Not too shabby, right?” he said.
