Speaking of memorable political moments, I recall way back when Strom Thurmond was first running for governor of my state of South Carolina and I heard him on the radio. It went like this: "While my worthy opponent was busy stuffing envelopes down at the local post office, I was dropping out of the skies over Normandie"! That ended it for the opponent. I also recall, after the recent disgraceful behavior in the senate, that Strom Thurmond wrestled an opponent to the floor when he got hit with some trash talk which is so common in today's political world.
