Around 7pm last night I was walking my dad out to his car. I live in Plainville in the Wheeler School district. We are close to a main road but do have woods deeper into the neighborhood and behind all the homes on my side of the road. An animal we had never seen before came walking towards us. It came very close to us, got startled walked across the street into my neighbors yard then back across again and into the yard next to mine. I tried to get a picture but the flash on my camera would not go off because my phone battery was too low. I went inside and immediately started searching the Internet for what we saw. A tall tan cat like animal with this graceful swagger about it and a long tail. I searched cats found in New England, when I saw the mountain lion cub I said, that’s it, that’s what I saw! I had no idea how big of a deal that was. I sent the links over to my dad he said yes that’s it, that’s what we saw. This morning he told me I needed to report it. I saw this page so here I am! I am going to also call the police or DEEP. Replies:
