We're heading into a busy period of the year and for many of the people on our staff team, additional life circumstances and responsibilities are increasing. To try and ease workload so that Shaman remains a destressor for everyone, we're looking for an extra person who wouldn't mind taking on some responsibilities around the site to spread the load a little.
Responsibilities would be primarily for keeping the site updated and maintained, with opportunities to lead on projects or events if you want to (but don't have to; some staff prefer not to do this).
Full training will be given & you'll never have to do anything you feel uncomfortable doing
No knowledge of HTML/coding or web building required
No previous experience in forum/RPG moderation or site building required
The key things we would be looking for are:
Helpful & positive mindset, someone who wouldn't mind chatting to newbies or answering questions
Free time at least once a week to dedicate to be able to keeping the site maintained & updated
Someone who, if they see a bug on the site or something which needs updating/sorting out, will take the initiative to either sort it themselves (if able/comfortable to) or highlight it to another member of staff
If you feel you can help out once or twice a week, speak to me or Merl to express your interest. There's no formal applications process, although we may ask you a few questions just to see how comfortable you are with certain things or where training might be needed. There's no formal closing date for "applications" but please let one of us know as early as possible if you're interested, so we can get someone into the position ahead of NaNo :)
