The next meeting of the Orillia Naturalist’s Club will be on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at 7:30 pm. This meeting will be held At the Orillia Museum of Art and History, Peter St S, 3rd floor (elevator).
The guest speaker will be Dan Strickland, retired Chief Park Naturalist, Algonquin Provincial Park
The topic will be Our Amazing Canada Jays—the “impossible” birds of our country’s great northern forests
Learn how this permanent resident of our northern forests succeeds in living all year round in a hostile, seemingly foodless environment—even to the point of nesting in late winter—but is now under some threat from climate warming.
