MOORESVILLE, NC (November 5, 2018) - Osetek Racing Technologies is pleased to announce that 2016 Oswego Speedway Novelis Supermodified track champion and Budweiser International Classic 200 winner Dave Shullick Jr. will join the North Carolina-based team to drive a brand-new Chris Osetek-built supermodified.

The team is working to debut the new car, which is currently in production, at the 2019 Oswego opener with Shullick behind the wheel. The North Ridgeville, Ohio, driver will team with veteran Osetek Racing driver Keith Shampine in his 2016 Osetek No. 55 super to make a very formidable two-car team.

“We’re looking forward to DJ coming on board,” team owner and chassis builder Chris Osetek stated. “I planned on building a new car this offseason, and I think having DJ driving it will only strengthen our entire program. DJ brings a lot of experience and setup knowledge, and now with two nearly identical chassis on the track, I think Keith and DJ will benefit from working together as teammates. We’ve been fast but we’re still trying to get to the next level. I think adding DJ to our team will only help that effort. We’re all looking forward to 2019.”

Shullick echoed his new car owner’s thoughts on their new teaming.

“I’m really looking forward to working with Chris, Keith and the rest of the team,” Shullick said. “I had the opportunity to visit with Chris and Keith in North Carolina a couple weeks ago and see the plans for the new car. I’m excited to be returning to Oswego Speedway and becoming a part of such an outstanding team.”

Shullick is a 15-time supermodified feature winner at Oswego and a two-time ISMA series driver champion in 2015 and 2016. He is sixth on the all-time ISMA feature win list with 23 series victories.

Osetek and Shampine teamed in 2013 and have competed full time at Oswego since. The team has two feature wins to date, both coming in 2017. Shampine has driven the Osetek 55 to a third-place finish in Novelis Supermodified point standings each of the last two years.
