Sundridge birds

Yesterday I heard 3 hoots of a Long-earred Owl, not far from where an badly injured LEOW was recently found.
This morning I had a lone Red Crossbill and 1 Brown Creeper. Steve O'Donnell and I had 2 Glaucous Gulls, 4 Black-backed Gulls, Common Mergansers, Hooded Mergansers, 1 Red-necked Grebe, and GC Kinglets while birding Lake Bernard and 2 Pine Grosbeaks in town eating crabapples. We also saw Turkeys eating grit on the road. There are ice shelves forming all over the lake, so it could freeze over Wednesday night (-20C forcast)and there is also about a foot of snow already. Is it really only November 19? Birding could be poor by the time of the Burk's Falls count.
