An article in the WSJ describes a Chinese 737 flight out of Hong Kong when the pilots wanted to smoke so they turned off the air circulation system which caused a dive of 25,000 feet before they recovered for a safe landing.
Many other recent incidents were cited as they trained over 5,000 new pilots this year and project 6,500 more each year in the future. We still do not have real answers on the recent 737 loss with 189 fatalities but it looks like training on new automatic flight controls is becomming paramount. Replies:
