Looks lik they morphed into floating hotels. A far cry from the SS Aquatania in 1934 to Cherbourg from NYC. Steerage (Cheap during the Grrat Depression I aassume) But I still dont understand how my family coud afford it as my impression is we were not affluent nor wretchedly poor. THe ship was a real steamship passenger liner.
