Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

The year had not been without merits. Winter was upon them again and it was time to return home. There were certainly some interesting things to sift through a bit further before deciding what to act on and what to leave aside. Matianak was certainly intrigued by the change in Iromar, but that would wait for another day. Instead, she lingered on thoughts of Asteraia. Her tryst from last winter had not been without merit. Three strong children, all seeming to be blessed with her intelligence and their sire's strength. She could see it more clearly in Amon and Rangda. Lamia was different though, something almost unnerving about her other daughter.

All the same, they were truly home now. Of course, if they chose differently as they grew up, so be it. Matianak would always ensure they knew where they came from. It didn't take long for her children to go about their own exploring. Let them. They would be safe enough here. The pale grey woman certainly would not be far out of ear shot that she could not reach them. She barked at Rangda to slow down, but the girl paid no heed. A soft sigh escaped her as she kept forward. Perhaps she'd find Asriel today or maybe Eden. She had not quite divulged everything back in spring. All the better with news of cannibals and their offspring, as well as her inadvertent link to them that would prove hopefully beneficial in the long run. Time would tell.

Until then, Matianak enjoyed the smell of the brisk sea air. This was most certainly home. No matter how she felt about anything else going on or who was dead, alive, or causing havoc, the grey woman would end up here to weave her webs and plant seeds of discord.
