Was stationed in Atlanta as part of DSA IGFO while Jimmy Carter was Gov. As a result I attended several functions at his mansion due to being USNA graduate. Late during my tour, Carter decided to run for President. I got a call from his staff inquiring if I would be interested in working on his campaign. I was certainly not interested in entering politics and my wife even less so - my answer was “NO”. Replies:
