Al, after graduating from PG School, I became damage control officer on USS Providence, 7th Fleet flagship home-ported in Yokosuka and then DESRON 9 squadron engineer stationed in Japan. This resulted in four years in Japan and several visits to Okinawa. Had quarters in a village on Sagami Wan, the bay of Mount Fuji. Have wonderful memories of the Nihon-jin. Hope you like the book.
