The adult Slaty-backed Gull, which has been frequenting a landfill north of North Bay for the past week, as apparently left that area. It has been, and will be, very cold at night up there so it now has very few options for night roosting on local lakes.
This bird could conceivably show up at the Barrie or Orillia dumps or waterfronts in the near future.
Best of luck if you try to find it - it looks like a small Great-black Backed Gull, but with lots of brownish smudging on its head and breast.
