The other mare seemed cautious, something Creed understood far too well. But the moment they came into view of each other, the other mare gave a more gentle nicker in echo of Creed's own as if to say that it was okay, that they could be friends. Creed didn't need much more of an invitation than that, nickering again with more fervor this time, her ears pricked forward and her tail swished behind her as she moved closer to the mare. She craved companionship of any kind by this point. She'd met Persephone and a friendly stallion, Shamwari, but no one since. She was a herd creature by instinct but she couldn't brave the swim, at least not yet. The other mare was built almost like her and Creed shivered again in sympathy of the colder weather. It certainly wasn't what she was made for. Her former herd would be huddling together by this time, shoulder to shoulder for warmth when they weren't digging through the snow for decent forage. But she had no one to cuddle up to and it was getting pretty cold at night. She spoke her name, hoping to show her good intentions to the mare. Then she heard a name in return. Riven. She smiled and nodded. "Nice to meet you as well, Riven." At the mare's question, she thought for a moment, glancing around as if to make sure there wasn't anyone else around before she snorted softly and nodded. "Yeah, not too much traffic through here lately. Of course, I don't blame them. I wouldn't want to swim in that, either." She nudged her head toward the icy waters behind Riven, eying the dark depths with open fear.
