The aura that surrounded the female was practically contagious, her demeanor light and airy - almost like that of a feather. My tail began to wave back and forth slowly through the air at its higher station, and a smile graced my features. Fire-brimmed mahogany eyes followed the gray and golden woman's motions as she made to bow before me, and my ears remained pricked forward and trained upon her as she rose once more and spoke. My suspicions that her reason for visiting today - alone, rather than in the company of a pack member - were confirmed in her words. She sought to make things official, to be a welcome member of Spirane. Even as she puffed her chest out to begin her formal introduction, I felt my own chest swell with pride. She had visited Spirane and found it to be a place she wished to call her home.

As she introduced herself the names that alighted upon my ears were familiar to me. Meryl was a name spoken with easy familiarity in our family, for he was my mother's imprint and had long been one of her closest friends. Even with the distance between Spirane and Diveen, and the time that might go between their seeing each other, the strength of their imprinting had always been one of deep friendship. It was something that had reassured me that having chosen Vortigern as my mate before having met my imprint would not come back to haunt me. My heart was for him, and yet there was still the opportunity for a deep and meaningful connection with an imprint - simply not one of romance. Yin's name, too, was familiar, though only in the context that she was Meryl's mate. Even Yuki's name was somewhat familiar to me - my elder brother Viserion had spoken of her before, I was certain, and perhaps others of the pack whom she had visited before.

My tail continued to wave back and forth, lowering somewhat from the high posturing it had adopted upon approaching Yuki. With introductions out of the way, and a certain familiarity with her presence already intact, things fell into an easy repertoire between us. "As it is my pleasure to meet you, Yuki. My sister - Kalseru - and I lead Spirane together as the pack's Bewilderbeasts. And as luck would have it, we are in need of a Snafflefang - a caretaker and storyteller - for the pack. My smile turned into something of a mischievous grin as I pivoted my bodice towards her, offering an angle that welcomed her into the packlands and to walk alongside me into her - official - new home.
