Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Talien had worried when first she got the feelings of dread and sorrow and pain from their bond, and the sadness in his eyes when finally she managed to lay eyes upon him... that she would never see his smile again. Though it did not affect her in the same way that Dexter's smile did... it was still something that soothed her soul. He was her imprint and knowing that he was in pain hurt her. But now, despite the fact that reminders of Inanna still lay tucked away all around them, he managed to smile. She knew that there was nothing she could do to take away his pain, but at least she felt as though she was able to ease it some and divert his mind to other things. He chuckles and remarks on how much he likes presents. Talien offers him a mischevious smirk, a single brow raising deviously. "I can believe that. Though Im sure their presents are far less entertaining than anything I can come up with." she says with a playful grin, thinking already of the spot in the forest where the mushrooms that squirt stink powder grew. It wasn't harmful in the least, but she distinctly remembered many a day hunting them down with her siblings and doing her best to talk the other wolves of the pack into poking at it. She chuckled to herself. A bit evil of her perhaps but it was all in good fun.

He agreed to eat a crab himself but only if she ate another. Silver blue eyes narrow as alabaster tail wags, doing her best to pretend to be threatening at his last comment. "Fluffier? What are you trying to say? It sounds dangerously close to calling my fat dear Thor. Dont think that just because your my imprint I wont show you just how fit I am." she teases with a laugh, dropping her head once more to finish off the exposed crab meat and even tried to pull some of the meat out of the claws like Thor did. It was a challenge, and well, lets be honest, though the meat was good, she was not as used to fighting with the hard shell to get to the succulent meat and thus was quick to give up the challenge and instead push the claws towards him incase he wished to finish it off. After all, she was one that did not believe in wasting even an ounce of stores especially during winter.

She takes the moment now to glance around his den, taking in the different odds and ends that he and Inanna had collected over the years. There were various shells in a multitude of colors, and even small pebbles and drying herbs. Some, smelled familiar and Talien wondered if they also grew near the forest. There was a time when she considered learning how to become a healer and what herbs were best for healing what ailments... but those dreams had died when Dexter announced his mate to the pack. It had been a dream that he encouraged of her... and despite herself, she just could not push past thoughts of him to continue it... However the thoughts still lingered even now.

Deep down she wondered if Thor would be able to move on as she had. Grant it, he had lost a mate... a beloved... a deeper connection than her own ties to Dexter. But if it was anything like her own heart, which considered they shared souls so she is sure she knows at least a part... looking at all of these promises ad stores must hurt him deeply. She wondered if he would ever be able to put them away or if like herself, he would simply find another den at some point. He asks about her plans for the day and she offers him a playful smile, her proud head tilting towards him as pink tongue lulled from parted lips. "If your trying to get rid of me already forget it. I cleared my day with Zelda just so I could come and annoy you for as long as I want." she says with a teasing quip, silver white tail beating against the rocky floor of the den. "Plus I figured Triton needs a break from your coddling for a day. Let him go and explore on his own for awhile. What were you planning on doing today and please don't say go for a swim." she says, shuddering at the thought of getting into the cold ocean waters..
