I don't think there is any chance of a Single Payer Plan being passed anytime in the foreseeable future---with a need for sixty votes in the Senate.
However, I do think it is possible for new TFL premiums to be slipped into the National Defense Bill, particularly if it is being pushed by the Congressional Budget Office.
P.S. Here is the reply from our Republican Congressman to my letter sent to him urging no changes to TFL premiums:
