Ed, the "experts in the field" have kept us in Afghanistan for over 15 years. Perhaps the "experts" should have read the "Dark Defile" and learned something from the Russians in this case. Maybe Trump is more aware of the Nations feelings than the Generals about the matter. 2000 troops in the middle of the Syrian quagmire will accomplish what in 18 months?
