Some depressing comments here. Firstly this is the first time this has been advertised. All people of whatever race can apply, obviously. Swansea medical school is currently third in the UK behind oxbridge. Our managers are not bad and for people interested in teaching it should be an interesting job. There is no on call commitment unless someone wants in, and the only clinical work undertaken is to teach medical students or what the successful applicant wants to do - supernumerary. It really is for developing teaching. It isn't a ping pong or anything. Opportunity to come to Gambia with the vision 2020 link. And I may be a namesake but I do work in Swansea and am responsible for the teaching of the medical students there!
