Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Bird of Omens, Ill harbinger of blight

They both keep moving. He knew she was weary, and he had expected her to rest once they had reached her home yet the minx slithered to the side despite his posturing. He did not sense anything…egotistical in her repositioning and a part of him wondered just who this lady was yet it was not something that he dwelled on. So, for the time being he was cordial as Sera’s lyrics graced both their ears. Her tone was so light. It held so many levels of joy that Raven could not help but to flit his eyes to her, to delve deep into her lovely sun kissed violet orbs until he drowned within their eternal abyss. He made her happy and in turn her glee gave him the energy to carry on…for her. With all of that said and expressed Raven did not miss the stubborn set to her facial features as she snapped at the rodent. The sharp crack of weak bones echoes within his head, his famished brain driving his mouth to salivate despite his firm resolution that she should eat, and he gives an approving nod. He watches her chew for a moment before she spears him with such a look that his heart freezes. She wanted him to eat the rest, even going as far as to nudge the tempting morsel closer to him. Oh how he wanted to sink his fangs into the little scrap of flesh, to delight in the crunch of bone and sinew, yet a larger part of him could not. The light of his world was underweight, he would never forgive himself if he took food from her maw. So with a even harder resolve than before he gives a small shake of his head before turning away and facing her Fortitude.

“Touché! Forgive me, I have blindly followed the most delectable derriere known to wolven kind. Shall I back track until I am safely over the border?” Raven’s own brows mirrors the multihued wolf before him, a gentle twitching of his lips betraying the brindle beasts smile. However despite his cordial correspondence he still refuses to give his name. “What a most interesting tongue you have sir. Latin?” This time his dark crown cants to the side ever so slightly, an intrigued look blossoming within his soft cyan gaze.

A quiet hush falls upon the group for a moment as Raven holds himself still. He does not sit, nor does he relax. He knows that he should submit to the alpha yet try as he might he could not force his body to lower so with a grimace he nods to the other and relaxes his tail. Even with the alpha’s word and assurances Raven’s primal drive refuses to be silenced. “Please pardon me as it would seem that this is as low as I can go at the moment. I do not mean you or your pack any harm and I submit to your authority should you have me. I know that I paint a pitiful picture but I am typically robust and could prove useful should you decide to use me.” He pauses before allowing a chuckle to escape his lips. “Besides a pup surely could best me in combat at the moment! Winter and it’s primal urges are the only thing keeping me on my paws at the moment. I really don’t know how much longer I can keep this up.”

His chuckles deepen into a full laugh as he considers his current situation. Raven was no fool and he was fully aware of his position. Just as he was aware of the hole in his carcass from where his beloved surely was staring. He had refused to eat when she had demanded. He was truly surprised that she had not struck him, for he knew that there was a fire within her. Jovial expression morphs into one of sheepishness as he reluctantly turns to Seraphina. Submitting to the Fortitude was pointless should she decide to end his existence right then and there.
