Biden's Misstep When Serving as the Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee

With the negative talk beginning to spread about Biden's conduct when serving as Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, I googled up the below-linked article which discusses the matter.

The criticism against Biden appears to stem from the fact that when acting the Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee during the confirmation hearing of Clarence Thomas to be a supreme court justice back in 1991, he failed to overrule various Senators who were casting aspersions against the character of Anita Hill, who was charging Thomas with sexual harrassment.

This doesn't seem to me to be that big of a deal, particularly since Biden has since stated that he regretted not taking a stronger stand against such accusations.

In any event, I think Biden is, by far, the strongest potential candidate to opposes Donald Trump.
(I have never even heard of most of the twenty-odd potential democratic candidates whose names are currently being bandied about).
