Re(3): Electing the President by National Popular Vote Posted on 2/28/2019 at 02:33:31 by Dick Raymond (18)
Oh boy. Doesn't anyone remember the brilliant analysis of the 1996 World Series by Dr. Natapoff of MIT? Even the New York Times published his essay on the parallels. He pointed out that the World Series champion WON THE MOST GAMES OUT OF SEVEN, NOT THE ONE WHICH SCORED THE MOST RUNS! Atlanta outscored the Yanks by runs, but the Yankees took the Series 4-2. And he made the obvious comparison to electoral vs. popular vote.
So why all this rehash of a point which in the end must be settled by a Constitutional Amendment, and one which in the present state of bitter rivalry and parties almost literally at one another's throats, would never ever be passed? Give it up,fellows. Replies:
