ADVENTURE TIME!

Xebyni had been practically bouncing out of her shoes from the moment she and Eurig had made a decision to go on an adventure together. They both needed to get away from the streets where they lived and roamed. She knew from her time with Eurig that even though the orphanage was his techinal home, it was nothing like the warm and cuddly places they both dreamed about. The home that they truly belonged within was the one that they had found with each other and their furry or feathered friends. They belonged together just like her fabric work and his jewelry belonged together.

Small fingertips made quick work of Neptune's mane, twisting it into a few braids and tying it off with small silver bows she had made herself. He would complain about how girly it was if he didn't love his bonded so much. "Are they here yet, Ni-Ni?" He neighed in exasperation as they waited by the odd shaped tree.

"Not yet, Neppy. Don't you think we would know by now if they were?" She giggled as she sat up from her perch upon his back, little hands moving to work her own long honey blonde hair into a braid of it's own. She twisted a sparkly pink ribbon within the braid and tied it off with another strand of the same ribbon. She slid down Neptune's leg, settling on the ground and placing herself in front of his face.

"Is there any dirt left on my face? I wanna make sure I look good for our adventure!" Her voice was shy and nervous as she twisted before him.

He moved to lick her cheek with a gentle motion before shaking his head. "Nope! You are squeaky clean from the river, Ni-Ni. And before you ask, your new pink dress you made is perfect."


She had been spending a lot of time with the baker's wife, learning some ways to be a better seamstress. The rest of her time had been spent practicing and testing out new uses of her fabric manipulation. She had gotten quite good over the past few months and had found a good way to make a few extra coins by selling some of her creations on the streets. The seamstress had taken to giving her any of the scraps of fabric she no longer needed or wanted and Xebyni had worked hard to make some cash with them.

She smiled up at Neptune, giving his head a gentle tug so that she could reach it to place a kiss upon his muzzle. She moved to look into the small bag she had brought with her, checking (for the 100th time) to be sure that the candies and cupcakes she had brought were still there and still in perfect condition.

It was then that she turned in time to see Eurig and Company approaching them. He closed the gap between them with a greeting and Xebyni offered a delighted squeal as she moved to hug him tightly.

"YES! Always yes! I love adventures!" She bounced on her toes as she stood before him, eyes gleaming with delight.

They had been wandering through the bright woods for at least an hour, stopping to peek at the wildflowers here and there, taking note of the new and unusual trees they found.

"This is so much fun, Eurig! Why didn't we do this sooner?" She giggled as she danced in a patch of wildflowers near a waterfall. She moved to place the flower crown she had made upon Aneira's head, placing a soft kiss upon the cat's temple. "A beautiful queen deserves a crown!" She was leaning down to pick a few more and place them within Neptune's mane when something shiny caught her eyes.

Her voice dropped to a whisper as she ran to Eurig's side."Euri, do you see that shiny thing over on those rocks? Do you think it's treasure???"
