Dodging snowflakes, a fox sparrow has been vigorously kicking up leaves, and a male and two female brown-headed cowbirds have been joining the large flocks of assorted black birds at the feeders in Victoria Road. Meanwhile, the dozen or so redpolls are stlll dominating the niger and finch seed feeders, along with a newly arrived goldfinch and one male purple finch (seen yesterday only).
