They were nearing one of the bigger clearings in the dense Forest, and as they emerged from the thick foliage, twigs snapping and leaves rustling, Persephone drew to a halt. She turned her head, a small smile pulling at the corner of her lips as she listened to Creed talk about making a new home. That was something Persephone was familiar with, at least. “We all have to make new homes for ourselves sometimes, I think,” she replied, her tone contemplative. “No matter how nice a place, sometimes we have to move on.” She paused a moment, turning to gaze through the shadows of the trees for a few moments before she turned back to Creed. Her dark eyes were earnest. “I can’t promise adventure every single day, but I hope you could make this place your new home, if you want to. Maybe I can even take you on an adventure someday.” |
