Liland is wary of other herd leading stallions knowing some would gladly take any chance to steal a mare or two from others. Now Liland gets those urges too, despite his kindness. The want for more mares was just ingrain in them. The more mares the stronger you look especially if you fend off others trying to take them. Liland was always cautious when sharing a border with another stallion. Thats how he had kept his last herd so long was being cautious.
He stands at the border he created that wasn't the actual border to his territory but it was far enough back that one should see an approaching horse that crosses the real border and give them enough time to run. he dips his head to her as she speaks.
