She could smell other horses here but had yet to meet anyone save Persephone so far. Still, she looked forward to making new friends and getting back to that family atmosphere she missed so much about home. Her head snapped up when she caught movement out of her peripheral vision, only to see none other than a little colt running around. Intrigued, she pricked her ears and watched him for a moment, giggling to herself when he made little hops and twisted his legs together, obviously still getting used to them. Her ears flicked around. He couldn't be that old so his mother must be close.

That's when she saw the black paint mare watching the cold almost as intensely as she was. That had to be here. Creed had to stop herself from her usual reaction, which would be to trot right up and introduce herself. She was seen as harmless in her former herd and always allowed to play with the younger foals. But this was a new place and the mother didn't know her so she wouldn't trust her, especially around her young son. As if on cue, the mare called out to her as she saw her, a warning in her voice that Creed's body responded to immediately.

She lowered her head and tucked her tail a little, ears pinning back as she made chewing motions with her mouth, letting the mare know that she meant no harm. Her ears then flicked forward, wondering if the mare was up for socializing. She didn't want to appear threatening so she held her ground but called back to the mare, wanting to test the grounds for possible friendship. "Hi, I'm Creed. I'm actually new here. Persephone had to swim me over." She smirked a little on her try at a joke about her fear of the water before she nudged her head toward the colt. "He's very handsome. And full of energy, I see." There. What mother didn't like to talk about her children?
