There is a big problem in Simcoe County with overharvesting of trees. This is even being done by the County itself in the Simcoe County Forests. Could you give me more details. It this on private or public land and what is your location since I know most of the Simcoe woodlands. They are suppose to leave dead snags for nesting birds and bats but this does not happen and they ravage the undergrowth in the harvesting methods. This practice really needs to stop. As a concerned citizen, you should talk to your MPP and municipal counselor and voice your concerns.
