The strange way of the world

Everyone knew Warsaw had enemies and that he butted heads with his mares from time to time, but the hate the black mare seemed to have was different. He noticed her away from the crowd as if she wasn't even a part of the herd. Warsaw ignored her almost like she wasn't there. This mare probably meant nothing to him other than a vessel to get something he wanted. Requiem was not surprised to find a mare to detached from the Inlet herd. There was bound to be one.

The petite mare slips away as Warsaw becomes engulfed in conversation about his daughter. He, too, slips away after her. He was curious to know what lit her fire, but also he felt inclined to help her in some way. There was not much he could do against his loyalty to Warsaw, but he could think of one thing to offer her. Being a son to the King he did not think it would be easily found out as long as they both kept their traps shut.

She seemed more at ease now that she was away, but this would be his only chance to do this unseen. Of course only if she wanted it. He gets close enough to whiskey, but he is sure not to touch her. "This may be crazy of me to offer, but I see the hatred in your eyes when you look at Warsaw. He will not stop until you are pregnant so the only thing I can offer is the thought that the child could be mine." His eyes dart around, but everyone is still gathered far off where he couldn't see them. He was risking his position for this.

"Please, whatever you decide, don't tell Warsaw what I have just said to you." He waits to hear her answer and he was ready for whatever she decided. If she said no he would be traveling back to the Bay as if nothing happened, but if she said yes...you know the rest.
