This morning there was a Killdeer family foraging along the mowed trail between the Kerr Park dog park and the Bracebridge Ponds. The adult bird ran towards us, then flopped up and down on the ground, trying to distract us. The four chicks quickly moved away into the tall grass and disappeared from view.
