Are we written in the sand

Cherish has never been this cautious in her life! She wondered if she was just feeding off Macabre's energy because the stallion seemed nice. At least he wasn't nipping them or pushing them inland. Instead, he offered his help and was leading them to shelter. She could feel her muscles unclench, but as the tension eases up she felt exhausted. She realized how much useless energy she was putting into her current defenses.

All on the suspension that this stallion would do them harm.

She follows the stallion alongside her friend until the stallion steps into a small cavern. She was about to take the steps towards the opening when a nip from Macabre stops her. The looks the mare gives brings back her worry. She only assumed Macabre was trying to tell her to be cautious. With her friend's lead, Cherish urges Clarity onward as they enter the darkness.

Cherish immediately begins to shake off any loose water to avoid freezing, but Clarity was already shivering. She lets Macabre respond to the stallion first when he introduces himself to her and follows with a question of why they were here. Cherish knew the mare was better suited to answer his question. She would probably say too much information anyway. She presses her body to Clarity and wraps her neck around her shivering frame while her eyes wander outside of the cave.

The land was full of mist and mystery. The rain was lightening up, but there was still a drizzle that tapped the earth. It was enough that she didn't wish to step back out in it. Her ears perk when she catches the words Peak from her friend's lips. Cherish has never been to the Peak, but she did remember Macabre saying she was from there. A place that protected lone mares and fought for them. Cherish wondered if that was where they were going next.

Once Macabre was done speaking, she turns her body towards Rougaru. "Yes they will be worrying over our disappearance." She adds to make the fib seem more believable. "I'm Cherish and this is my daughter Clarity." Cherish smiles at the dark stranger before her blue eyes fall to her child. Clarity keeps herself pressed to her mother for warmth, but the shakes of her legs soon bring her to the ground. Cherish urges her up once more and directs her towards a corner of the cavern. She allows Clarity to lay down once her back was to the cave wall. Cherish herself lowers her body next to Clarity and wraps her neck around her back.
